Doctors Negligence Kills 2 Innocent Souls; We Want Justice – #justiceformyfriend #justiceforaparna

As I write this, my eyes filled with tears, as we (Family-Friends) lost our loved ones.

This girl, who was apple of both families, celebrated her birthday as well as anniversary recently. I still remember, both friends’ (Aparna and Chethan) status (waiting for you). It is so painful to even think that she is no more with us and the pain my friend (Aparna’s husband) is undergoing, cannot be felt by anyone.

Aparna had left her home happily by arranging almost everything for her lil one, who was to arrive shortly.

We all friends even had a chat, a few days before, and we were waiting for the baby’s arrival.

Aparna, who never thought of hurting anyone even by mistake – was one of the beautiful souls. She was admitted to the Motherhood hospital (Sahakarnagar) for her delivery, with lot of dreams and hopes, but never returned back! The hospital negligence not only killed her, but also another innocent life that hadn’t even opened its eyes – her and her husband’s lil Prince.

Aparna’s husband Chethan, who is also my friend, had also pinned lot of hopes on doctors. He trusted them and sent his wife confidently, thinking the docs would save his wife and the lil one, but his dreams were shattered! Both their families and we (friends) have lost two innocent souls, and that too because of doctors who call themselves as saviours’ negligence. We now need justice so that none other should undergo the pain that our friend has underwent.

9 months of love and care that Aparna and her family had taken to bring the new born to this world has totally gone in vain and why? NEGLIGANCE! Only a woman knows how much love and pain she undergoes keeping her lil one in the womb and eagerly waiting for those lovely cute lil hands to hold her, but all the dreams shattered!

RIP APARNA

Who else other than doctors will know that every minute counts for a person who is in the hospital? Why was this case neglected? Had it been a celebrity or politician, a doctor would always be around and without wasting a second, they would have taken care of those celebs. Why isn’t this treatment not given to a normal-common man?

Just because of negligence, the two innocent lives are not with us. We want justice, and we hope the filthy rich people associated with the hospitals do not manipulate the proofs and the truth comes out.

Also, this should not happen with any other person. Please share this incident so that others are aware of this hospital and such negligance, and do not undergo the same sufferings.

Pray for justice. We want #justiceforaparna #justiceformyfriend…

RIP APARNA & LIL PRINCE – YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED

TAKEN FROM TOI

Aparna, 26, a resident of Yelahanka New Town, and a triple graduate working with a private bank, was said to be completely normal when she was admitted to Motherhood Hospital on Tuesday evening.

Aparna died on Tuesday on the operation table at Motherhood hospital in Sahakar Nagar, north Bengaluru. The infant was critical and shifted to Rainbow Hospital.

On Wednesday, the boy was taken off the ventilator as doctors saw no hope of his recovery. They told the family that even if the baby miraculously survived, he’d have to live with both mental and physical conditions. “We were told his survival chances were less than 1%. We had to make the painful decision of letting the baby off life-support,” said Smitha Naveen, Aparna’s sister-in-law. “We are waiting for the postmortem report,” she added.

She was reportedly given pain-inducing medicines (tablets) thrice, at intervals of two hours. “The first dose was given at 10pm on Tuesday, then at midnight and again at 2am. Early morning, she sensed some pain and also some discharge from the vagina. She was given a bedpan. She didn’t walk anywhere. They realized the baby had passed stool, which was coming out. She was taken to the OT at 5.30am and was brought out dead at 8.30am. Her face was pale and cold. She might have died earlier,” Smitha Naveen, Aparna’s sister-in-law had alleged.
Dr Mohammed Rehan Sayeed, chairman of Motherhood Hospitals, denied any negligence, saying, “It looks like a case of pulmonary embolism, a condition that creates a blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in the lungs.”

An FIR has been filled by my friend’s husband and her brother, but we fear the case might be suppressed by the hospital management by their powerful influence. We request public to help get the family fair justice with proper interrogation by spreading this message across your group of friends to ensure media continues to follow up with the case until justice is prevailed.

Please forward this message to all your group members and show solidarity towards the family of the deceased and help them get a fair trial.

  1. This hospital should be closed down. Same incident has been reported at the same hospital one month back too. These people should be ripped off and be sent behind bars however influential they are..

  2. This is a horrible thing. How can the doctor be so negligent. I’m also consulting at the same hospital. If you could help me with the doctor name it would be of great help.

  3. It is shame that Media is not interested in such sensitive and painful stories of a common man rather interested in only sensation communally-motivated stories.Nonetheless, we ordinary citizens can make a difference. Guys, spread the link….

  4. This heartbreaking incident has put the families in unrecoverable condition. I hope the family stands strong and they get justice.
Such hospitals with repeated cases should be closed.

  5. I extend my full support for this cause. The loss to Chetan and Aparna’s family is unberable. Lets unite to fight against this money laundering business called Hospitals and its greedy doctors

      • I don’t see Sireesha Reddy in Columbia Hospital website (Hebbal/YPR).

This negligence is everywhere in Bangalore. Nurses don’t know way to communicate. They don’t understand requirement. All are half baked cooked staff. Duty doctor don’t care (I think they are either Juinor or interns), they just follow procedure received on phone by main doctor.

Why TOI is not covering story now ? Did they get money from Management ?

  6. This doctor must be given a detterent punishment and should be dtagged in consumer grievance cell with all proofs so that he might be sentenced life term imprisionmentand his license of medical practice may be seized foryhwith

  7. Being Doctor is a very serious profession so is running the hospital. Even little negligence can cost lives. Negligence by doctor and hospital management took life of a very young and innocent women with lot of dreams and aspirations and an infant baby even before it could open it’s eyes. The loss incurred to her and her family members can never be recuperated by any at any cost.

The family who where in the joy of welcoming a new born baby and mother is now shattered by lossing both. A very unfortunate mother who waited to see her baby for 9 months had to close her eyes forever even before getting a glimpse of her baby. Who can understand the pain her loved ones are going through because of these tragic events.

All that was required to prevent this unfortunate events was the availability of the specialist doctor in time and a well equipped operation theatre.

Whatever it is, i am sure the godly mother will get justice.

  9. Now days so many dotors forgot wt the oath tahey had taken while graduation and they all become money minded bludy bullshit with hispital
An req media to come up with this issue
    Pls show some humanity

  10. I am in total support for justice of Aparna … But i also want to question why did they push her to have an early delivery before the due date just because of some superstitious belief??? When will India come out of all this ??

  11. These days doctors buy the degrees without real knowledge of a persons health condition. Such people must be behind bars.

    I support

  12. ohh God shock to read the news. I can undersatnd the family situtaion now . Its horrible to imagine as well . Funish the doctors who killed 2 innocent lives. RIP.

    • I support and strong action should be taken against the doctor and the hospital. Such that none of the doctors dare to do such a thing. The punishment has to be severe. Here in India people die like ants. There is no law or order in place

  13. Has anybdy tried to find out wat the cause of death was? I sincerely feel bad fr d relatives n hope the truth wil come out..bt lets nt judge too fast.wat if it genuinely was a medcl complction lik pulmnry embolism as the doctor has stated? Im in d same profession n I knw that we are nt god’s and all lives cannot b saved.all I’m saying is lets listen to wat exactly went wrong bfre blaming each other.there is no rich and poor wen It cums to complications! So Pl don’t jump to conclusion that its purely negligence until we know wat has happened.tats all

    • We vl surely know shortly… docs have d habit of gvg such excuses these days. Whn patient die of their negligence they quote it as rare case. No family vl blame doc if its not their fault.. only whn it happens to some one near ones they vl know d value… family who was wit d patients know d truth n im sure they vl bring it out… i pray god gv them d strength n i hope no influence stop them frm getting justice

  14. I am due in another 4 weeks. I was consulting with Dr Sireesha Reddy at Motherhood (Sahakara Nagar) through my first trimester. My husband and I have moved to the UK so we are no longer consulting with Dr Sireesha. She seemed to be a very good doctor. I am eager to know what actually went wrong.

Really shocked after reading this news about Aparna and her little one. Very hard to accept this in my present condition. May their soul RIP. Hope Chetan and his family can recover from this trauma soon.

I had always felt the staff at this hospital were good for nothing. This is my first baby and we decided to go to Motherhood only because we had heard a lot about Dr Sireesha. Couple of my family members and friends have consulted with her when she was in ColumbiaAsia (Hebbal). I have to say she is one of the best doctors and there is no doubt about that. I feel its really unfair to blame everything on the doctor. Since it is a new hospital there were a lot instances when we felt it was inadequately managed.
A lot of us have always felt the hospital is up and running only because Dr Sireesha is there. Please check her track records before blaming her.

  15. I don’t want to sound insensitive…This is an unfortunate incidence….but for pulmonary embolism how can you blame the doctor…The doctor did not get in her vessels and form the embolus…and pul.embolism is a very rare condition which if happens is almost 80-90% fatal..Its really very tragic and unfortunate…but people plz stop blaming doctors for everything.no doctor will want a black spot in his career by doing such things knowingly.complications do occur and every time the outcome is not 100% ..This is a genuine comment I don’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiments.but this is the truth

    • If it was really a rare case we wud have accepted adyasha… but family memebers esp her husband knows what actually happened … do u think he vl blame docs just like tat as far as i know him n his fam… they r not like that… witot any proofs y vl they take tis step…u shud also think in tat way…

      • Hi. I know what happened was bad. Was her husband inside the labor room or Operation room. In motherhood they allow husband to be with tgeir wife in labor room or OT. my wife’s pregnancy was a complicated one and we visited 4 dr n no one was able to solvd the problem. It was she who did and the baby n mother r doing fine

  16. Shocked out of my wits to read this. I got my baby delivered 5 months ago at the same hospital with Dr.Sireesha Reddy. My wife went into labor on satday morning 7.30 and after 10 hrs of pains, took epidural. Eventually after another 14 hrs she had to go thru csection as baby was stuck. I really was annoyed at the whole experience but appreciated doctors patience to work with us for a normal delivery. She is an aiims pg grad with UK experience and I found her extremely competent and hence shocked to see this incident under her supervision. I would really like to know what’s the post mortem report…is it out yet?

Whatever is the reason, my heart felt condolences to both the families. Can’t imagine the nightmare.

BTW, I also remember another judgement call she made which helped another mother that night. Mother came for 36weeks visit with a high bp and doctor advised admitting the mother immediately even though dude daTe was 4 weeks. Babies heart rate went down within few hours and she got delivered in the middle of night.

Can the author post follow up once postmortem report is available?

  17. Guilty should be punished no matter whether its doc/nurse/hospital. Your title seem to indict Doctor instead of the Hospital as a unit?

  18. I support….

Even I have heard from my friends and family members tat negligence is more in this motherhood……thy don’t take anything seriously….

My cousin had delivered a baby girl in this hospital exactly 2 months back…

  19. Very tragic news to hear my friends wife n little ones death. I support him. Be strong Chethan, I’ll pray God to give u courage. Let the ignorant go to hell.
