All time favourite Rajesh Khanna Songs

To know about Rajesh Khanna, read here: https://splashbitsnr.wordpress.com/2012/07/18/first-unforgetable-romantic-superstar-rajesh-khanna/ His songs are evergreen. Songs from movie Aaradhana (1969) were famous. The sizzling chemistry of Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore is still remembered, especially in the song: Roop Tera Mastana (Kishore Kumar). Mere Sapno Ki Rani (Kishore Kumar), is still sung by the youngsters (boys) to tease girls. This song is considered as a classic and marked the coming together of Khanna with Kishore Kumar. Other songs from this movie which are famous: Baghon Mein Bahar Hai (Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar), Chanda Hai Tu Mera Suraj Hai Tu (Lata Mangeshkar),  Gun Guna Rahe Hai Bhanvare (Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle), Kora Kagaz Tha Yeh Man Mera (Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar).

Aap Ki Kasam, which stars Mumtaz opposite Khanna was also a hit. Jai Jai Shiv Shankar is the song which is played even today. Mumtaz’s dancing style after having ‘Bhang’ and Kaka’s trademark hand gestures makes this song a super. Other songs from this movie: Karwaten Badalte Rahe, Suno Kaho Kaha Suna (Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar) are also on my list of fav picks.

Amar Prem: Kuch Toh Log Kahenge is my all time favourite number and love to listen this song and make others listen especially when they are upset over some matter told by others on them. I feel too relaxed listening to this song. Other songs: Chingari koi bhadke, Yeh kya hua.

Anand: Beautiful dialogues and songs are the major highlights of this movie apart from the story. This movie ranks amongst the “Top 25 Must See Bollywood Films” in the list of Indiatimes Movies. Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli (Manna Dey), Kahin Door Jab Din Dhal Jaaye (Mukesh), Maine Tere Liye Hi Saat Rang Ke Sapne (Mukesh), Na Jiyaa Lage Na (Lata Mangeshkar) got beautiful lyrics and tunes.

Other songs:

  • Chingari koi bhadke
  • Pyar diwana hota hai
  • O mere dil ke
  • Mere dil me aaj kya hai
